This project is an Architecturally Designed Major Renovation & Extension to an existing terrace house in Sydney's Inner West. The existing home was completely run down on all floors and a major renovation was the only answer. The existing home was poorly laid out and lent itself to chaos and disorder, along with this it, was very dark and cold. The clients' brief was to completely transform the entire building and create and ultra contemporary look and feel to the home. The new design added and attic to the existing 3 floors to make it 4 floors. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Internal L'dry, and large open plan living leading onto huge tiled terraces and patios. We installed commercial grade windows, recessed aluminium skirtings, shadow lines to all ceilings and the full height internal doors complimented the design. The building was further enhanced with natural Forest Red timbers flowing through out all floors and leading onto the open steel and timber mono string staircase, which consisted of stainless steel balustrading. This project was very demanding on space due to its location and access and despite this we still completed the project within the time frame allowed. This was an "Excellent Result" and one our favourite, Fantastic!
